About Krista Recycles
The story…
I don’t drink soda. Well, that’s not entirely true. I rarely drink soda.
When I started with my current job in April 2005, I sat next to a guy who drank a lot of soda - not a lot as in one or two cans a day, more like four or five cans a day. Since the office didn’t have recycling receptacles, he threw his Caffeine Free Diet Coke cans in the trash, which disturbed me. But, since I was new to the job, I didn’t say anything.
My silence didn’t last long. It only took a few weeks before I offered to recycle the cans for my cube neighbor. He was happy to give them to me, and I was happy to collect them.
The Conclusion..
Although my original supplier is long gone, there are plenty of developers around here that drink a heck of a lot of soda. So, now I collect from them.

I think that I can claim all of those cans of Dr. Pepper, and if hadn’t run out and had to swipe some Mountain Dews, the Dr Pepper might be leading.

Am I the only person that drinks Diet Pepsi in this place? ;)

Hi Krista,
My name is also Krista, and I am an avid “recycler”, and spearheaded the recycling at our office by setting up bins under my desk and putting signs up in our coffee shop. Fast forward: our campus of 3600 people recycles! If my co-workers found your site, they would think that I was tallying their soda intake =) Where we work, we have a “Stop the Pop!” campaign, so your message resonates with me…and I also do not partake in soda sipping.
Nice site. Keep up the good work.
Krista

Krista, Sorry for waiting eight months to reply to you. I stopped updating the site, and it was out of sight, out of mind. Love the name, and how cool that you spearheaded recycling at your office! - Krista
