Coup averted

In a valiant effort, Diet Pepsi attempted a coup this week - while the leader of the Mountain Dew coalition was on vacation. Upon learning of the rebel’s attempt to gain the throne, the Mountain Dew leader exclaimed, “I am still King of the Mountain!”, referring to the childhood game of the same name. He is stalwart in his conviction of Divine Right and supreme ruler of all.

Slow goin’ ’round here

It’s been slow going around here. I had to let the cans stockpile for two weeks before I had enough to recycle. We’ve lost one of our big suppliers when people relocated to various offices around the metropolis. But we did have a windfall of cans from Neal, also known - in some circles - as the Limerick King, who contributed 12 this week. Here’s what I recycled:

In other news, one of the gadget sites I subscribe to had two pro-recycling bits last week. I was all kinds of excited to read about Cash incentives for recycling, and then there were these wicked awesome EcoForms pots (made for plants from plants). You can also learn more about them at the EcoForms Web site.

In the Other column:

Canada Dry Ginger Ale - 3
Cherry Coke Zero - 2
